Camera-Phones (Frequently asked questions)

Camera phones are disruptive innovation for the imaging industry.
The first camera phone was the J-SH04 introduced by SHARP and J-Phone in Japan in November 2000.
Today's state of the art (January 2005) camera phones have 2 Megapixel image size, auto-focus, movies, removable memory cards (128 Megabyte or more), flash, GPS (global positioning system), JAVA, 3G (384 kpbs data download) or 3.5G (2.4 Mpbs data download) mobile internet connection
We expect that before not too long, practically all mobile phones globally will have built-in digital cameras.
